A few years ago, a bunch of us were sitting around complaining about how rude and uncivil people can be. Story after story after story. We all wish we had said something to those rude people. Then it hit us: Why not politely hand them a business card that points out their insensitivity? And why not have some fun with it? Don’t be mean, be funny. But make a point.
Our first card said “It would be great if you could just watch where you’re going. Thanks.” It was inspired by a walk through Times Square in New York City. The first recipient of one of those cards simply said, “Asshole.” We probably deserved it. Since then, we’ve distributed a bunch of cards, made a few t-shirts and gotten some good responses. Believe it or not, we have yet to be assaulted.
